The 90-Day AI Visibility Playbook for Online Store Owners
A realistic 90-day roadmap for Canadian stores to improve product data, buyer-focused content and visibility measurement.

Days 1–15: establish the baseline
Confirm analytics and Search Console access, choose your most important collections, and record organic visits and conversions. Build a short list of real buying questions from support tickets, on-site search and customer conversations. Test those questions in a consistent Canadian context across a few AI assistants, recording sources and dates. This is an observed baseline, not a definitive AI market-share report.
Days 16–30: fix the information layer
Review crawlability, broken links, canonical URLs and important product pages. Align visible prices, CAD currency, stock, variants and delivery terms with structured data and merchant feeds. Add missing specifications and accurate shipping coverage. Online-only stores should not create a Google Business Profile unless they independently meet the platform's eligibility requirements for in-person customer contact.
Days 31–60: publish buying guidance
Choose a manageable set of comparisons, category guides and FAQs based on your customers' questions. Include concrete Canadian keyword ideas, then validate demand before treating them as targets. Connect guides to relevant products and collections. Publish delivery or local service information only for areas you genuinely cover. Add French-language resources when you actually serve that audience and can maintain them accurately.
Days 61–75: strengthen independent proof
Ask customers for honest reviews without screening out negative opinions. Approach relevant Canadian publications or niche creators with useful expertise and clear product information. Disclose paid collaborations. If you have an award, state its exact issuer, year and status with a verifiable source; shortlisted is not the same as won. Do not treat badges or paid placements as a guaranteed route into an AI answer.
Days 76–90: evaluate and refine
Repeat the initial question set and compare cited sources, brand mentions and referrals. Examine organic conversion quality alongside traffic. Identify pages that answer questions well but need stronger evidence, or pages that attract visitors without helping them choose. Continue improvements that support purchase decisions. Ninety days is a planning window, not a promise of rankings, revenue or AI recommendations.
